As in a nightmare, I stumbled through woods
My cloth ripped by judgment sudoric flesh shorn
The phantom of terror loomed, ever giving chase
As a capricious spectre not bound to one face

Still shaken by horror, fresh blood on my hands
I'd awoken to the sound of her screams
I'd sinned as I slept, surely even God wept
As my mother was taken from me

So I fled from total depravity
Into the mercy and light of your love
