"Where is the man who claims to be King,
He who covers in silks and the finest of rings?
Where is this man who claims he's conquered the earth?
Destroyed the mountains and valleys for stone in his hearth?
Who burns the forests and withers the floods?
Making ashes of kingdoms and rivers of blood?
What father would covet such spoils as he's won, drink deep from the river and leave none for his sons?"
There rang out fury from a heart filled with ice:
"It was I who poisoned the well! I put the sword to the wolves and dashed their skulls on the ground. I gave no quarter as nations fell, I claimed the throne of the tyrant in the kingdom of hell."
"Have you nary a penitent thought? Not shred of remose for the chaos you've wrought? A prayer for the wounded, a tear for the meek? Or is power and wealth the only pride that you take? Have you truly no love in your heart? No ambition save murder, no passion for art?"
"I am become a perfect Being of Light, drinking blood from the children in their cradles at night. I devour life. Feast your eyes upon my work and tremble."
Then may you find some comfort there, in the arms of Satan.
"It was I who poisoned the well! I put the sword to the wolves and dashed their skulls on the ground. I gave no quarter as nations fell, I claimed the throne of the tyrant in the kingdom of hell."

I'm a big fan of The Faceless middle two albums and when I saw Lyle Cooper was on this album I knew I needed to check it out. I bought the discography almost instantly, reminds me a little of The Faceless and a bit more of Fallujah who I also adore. Well worth the money, Support these great Musicians! dragonslayer8228

A beautiful journey from start to finish, with perfectly placed moments of gentility amidst the rhythmic intrigue and blast beats of their guest drummer. jsteadmanfan
