lyrics

Who is the man in the mirror, with eyes and soul stained black?
His face glowed in the shadow, lit by a familiar shade of yellow.
Though I could not turn my head towards, I heard him sigh and speak these words.
"If true beauty is to be fair, with my pallid mask, who among you could compare?"
A phantom passed through me, terrible and ghastly; furious and awesome as it dashed the mirror to shards.
A whisper kissed my ears: "If true beauty is to be fair, who could compare with me, for death is paler"
Over and over again and again I tell myself that I did not desire this, it was never worth it.
Haunting and terrible this fear is incomparable, but I have not yet lost control.
At last my turn to speak, my voice was hoarse and terribly meek "If in this court of fools,
two of us are here to rule, who among us is the fool?"
"Turn your head and we shall see"
Overwhelmed with pure emotion as my screams danced with laughter.
For in the space where his face should be, there was only teeth.
Over and over again and again I tell myself that I did not desire this, it was never worth it.
Haunting and terrible this fear incomparable, but I have not yet lost control.
Who is the man in the mirror, with eyes and soul stained black?
